Why does mist seem to rise from the surface of the water in the early morning? It seems so hazy.
While the natural occurrence relates to the cool and warm air colliding and moisture being released, the sound of the answer for me this morning was so much more inviting.
I sensed, perhaps it was God, that the mist is kept in place in the quiet morning for a wee bit longer just because there is yet a need for rest. Those times when it is so thick and we as people cannot see the way through, perhaps, like the mist it is trying to tell us, it is still a time for rest. The day arises and the mist swirls and stirs across the expanse to show yet another beauty to arise. The light catches the mist and fractures into reflections and displays a myriad of colors dancing and sparkling with laughter. You see, nothing has been missed, it is yet the time for rest.
