CARRY+

Every eleven minutes in the United States, a person dies by suicide.

Worldwide, it happens every forty seconds.

Program Overview

Suicide does not have to happen.  All of us have the potential to bring life-giving options.  Long before someone considers suicide, there is a turning away from life in a variety of ways. Learning the warning signs and ways to respond may save another’s life, so whether you are at work, with family, with friends, at church, or within community groups, come join us to create a ‘safety net’.

  • Develop a language in our communities to promote open discussion around suicide prevention.

  • Create connections for support and resources in your area.

  • Build loving communities that share honor, dignity, and nurture through relationships.

How it Works

The course is delivered in two parts.

Part I addresses the crucial conversations which must take place when made ‘aware’ a suicide risk is present. We then talk about ways to connect the individual with what is being considered and steps to access appropriate services.

Part II includes practical interactions and exercises to prepare you to nurture others toward life.  Building a place of trust and respect with individuals.  We align with Christ as the center of our program to impart truth, healing, and an atmosphere of belonging in a safe community.

Part I & Part II are interactive and self-paced. Participants are assigned a trained Facilitator to lead an online small group discussion at 3 critical points during the program.
